Exploring Beeskow´s surroundings

Stadtführung-Beeskow-Zenker-07 (56).JPG

After having enjoyed the fine views of the surrounding countryside from either the Castle Tower or the tower of the Beeskow fire brigade (formerly used to store fire hoses), visitors might be interested in seeing more of it.

The museum of Meteorology and Aerology in Lindenberg is certainly worth a visit. The village is also the location of one of the two observatories of the German Weather Service  ballonhalle.jpg
L-Leichhardt-Museum (2).JPG Another local place of interest is the Ludwig-Leichhard-Museum in Trebatsch, which is devoted to the German zoologist, botanist and geologist, who was born in nearby Sabrodt in 1813

A self-guided  audio tour through the Sauener Forst (forest) will be equally exciting and informative.
