A paradise for water sports enthusiasts

albatros neu.bmp

Beeskow is not only  rich in beauty spots and interesting historical sights, it also lies on the River Spree, which connects it with the Spreewald and Berlin and is  surrounded by numerous lakes. Thus there are almost unlimited opportunities to do all kinds of water sports or to spend time just relaxing.

All kinds of watercrafts such as motor, house and sailing boats or canoes (also without boating licence) can be rented here. Visitors who just want to enjoy the countryside should go boating on the two arms of the River Spree (kleine und große Spree) from where they will have a fine view of Beeskow Castle, the “Fischerkie(t)z“ and the Spree promenade.

Both the River Spree with its more than hundred-year-old   public swimming baths and the nearby lakes (Ranziger See, Tiefer See, Beeskower Schwielochsee, Scharmützelsee, Storkower See) are perfect for swimming and renowned for its good fishing (carp, tench, pikeperch, perch…).
